Harvest Development Academy · The Triangle, NC

I teach basketball, but I coach life.

Building people. Developing champions. Living trophies.

Harvest Development Academy is a basketball development program built around individual training, small-group development, camps, and travel competition — where every player matters, every voice matters, and the game is bigger than the scoreboard.

Being part of Harvest means joining a family, a culture, a mission — not just a team.
The Program

Every level, one standard. One Harvest.

From a first camp session to national travel competition, every layer of the academy feeds the next. The same fundamentals, the same culture, the same language — from elementary through high school.

01

Travel Teams

Invited to compete in the New Balance Circuit — with exclusive representation for the Triangle in play. Three to six teams, year-round training, regional and national competition. This is the highest level of the academy.

The greatest measure of a program is who they become after they take the uniform off.
The Harvest Pillars

The order that makes basketball easy.

When these are in the proper order, the game takes care of itself — and the player becomes the whole person.

01

God

Our faith is the foundation of who we are.

First
02

Family

The people who love, support, sacrifice, and walk beside us.

Second
03

Community

We have a responsibility to serve others and make those around us better.

Third
04

Academics

We are students first. Excellence in the classroom prepares us for what's beyond basketball.

Fourth

Basketball

We work. We compete. We develop. We pursue excellence in our craft.

Last — and it's easy
The Coach

Coach DeShannon Morris

Coach D has spent his career building a single, aligned program — from elementary and middle school through junior varsity and varsity — so every level prepares the next. He has developed players who have competed at the highest levels of the game.

"I cannot promise minutes, an easy season, or that we will never lose. What I can promise is this: I will care about your child. I will believe in them. I will challenge them. I will advocate for them. I will hold them accountable. I will walk beside them."

That is the Harvest promise — the same promise made to every player, every family, every season.

Compete with Purpose

Faith-centered does not mean soft. We prepare, we hold each other accountable, and we pursue championships — while never losing sight of who we are. Success is measured by the teammates we become, the way we respond to adversity, and the lives we impact.

65–70 of Coach D's former players have competed at the highest levels — from JUCO all the way to the NBA.

They started in this same gym, in this same program, with the same fundamentals and the same standard. The Harvest family stays connected long after the uniform comes off.
